Introduction: Boswellia Serrata Extract is prepared by the alcoholic extraction process of the oleo-gum-resin of Boswellia Serrata.

• The main ingredient of the Boswellia Serrata extract is ߖBoswellic acid which is responsible for its pharmaceutical properties.
• Boswellia Serrata Extracts are also found to be anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, analgesic, and sedative. Boswellia Serrata is mainly used in rheumatic disorders, to improve appetite and general weakness.

Chemical Composition: The extract contains 3-riterpene acids á, ß, Ý boswellic acids and 2-polysaccharides.

Process of Extraction: Boswellia Gum in semi solid or liquid state is first soaked in ethanol for couple of hours followed by refluxing it for few hours. The extract so obtained is filtered. The filtrate is concentrated to thick paste by distillation of Ethanol. The paste is dried in vacume dryer. The powder so obtained is pulverized, sifted and packed.
